eVENT spotlight
"THE GRAND TOUR REVISITED PANEL DISCUSSION" AT NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORARY
A panel discussion led by historian and broadcaster Kate Williams that traces The Grand Tour from its history as a rite of passage for young aristocrats, to its legacy in collections. Considers alternative perspectives, including those of women writers, post-colonial critics and Nottingham's own Lord Byron. With Tim Knox, Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum and literary scholars Sharon Ouditt and Carl Thompson, Centre of Travel Writing Studies (Nottingham Trent University).
